Why I like 'em
Her art style makes me want to snuggle Hikaru and Akira and never let them go. They are absolutely, breath-takingly lovely. Her stories also hit that chord I was looking for: calm drama of gay boys. Dj authors seem to go two ways: one, being gay is simply normal and not worth mentioning, or two, oh-my-god-i'm-gay-what-should-i-do-who-can-i-shag-first!? Hatomile does neither of these, settling for quiet introspection, low-end angst, or sweet humor. Only one of her books that I have is 18-Over, but another of her books, "KissKissKiss", just melted my spine it was so sweet. A book about kisses!

And she has the patience of a saint. I e-mailed her about 3 times, and the first 2 times it was all jumbled on her end, but she didn't tell me to go take a long walk off a short pier. And she sent me my order super fast. So I love her thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much.
